Delete your account

This page covers the AlgoVend web app at app.algovend.com and the AlgoVend Android app. You can ask us to delete your whole account, or to delete your data and keep the account.

How to request it

Email [email protected] from the address on the account, with:

• the email address of the account
• whether you want the whole account deleted or only your data deleted with the account kept

We reply within 3 working days and complete the deletion within 30 days. We will ask you to confirm from the account address before anything is deleted, because the request is irreversible.

What is deleted

Your email address, name and username. Your password, which is only ever stored as a salted hash. Every signed-in session and device record. Any broker connection and the encrypted access credentials it held — we never stored your broker password. Your API keys and webhook endpoints. Your notification history and any AI chat sessions.

Everything you created: your strategies and their source, your backtests and their results, and the simulated orders, positions and profit-and-loss from any paper trading.

What is kept, and why

Transaction records. Where money changed hands we are required to keep the record. It is kept with your personal details removed, so it can no longer be connected to you.

Server logs. Ordinary web server records — an IP address, the request made — age out on their own short operational schedule and are not searched for and removed individually.

Backups. Deletion applies to the live database immediately. Backups are overwritten on their normal cycle, so a copy may persist for a short period before it ages out. It is not restored except to recover from a failure.

If you sell strategies, or run an organisation

Two cases need a conversation first, because deleting your account would affect someone else:

If you have published strategies other people are subscribed to, those subscriptions stop working when the strategy goes. Tell us how you want that handled — unpublish first, or delete outright — and we will confirm before acting.

If you own an organisation with other members, ownership has to move to another member first, otherwise they lose access with you.

Deleting data without deleting the account

Ask for this if you want to keep the login but clear what is on it. We remove your strategies, backtests and paper trading records, disconnect any broker, and revoke your API keys and sessions. The account keeps its email address and password so you can sign in again to an empty account.
